services - Community Profiles

Outlook has developed several comprehensive community profiles and regional profiles. These web-based profiles are used so investors and site selectors can quickly mine for data about your community. The profile will list the strengths and weaknesses of your community, propagate the brand you have developed, and display the latest information you wish to promote.

A community profile may follow can follow the International Economic Development Council’s site selection data template. The IEDC data set contains over 1,200 data elements organized into 25 spreadsheets. This is an involved process, but one that is worth while if your city or region is attempting to attract significant investment in large scale projects. But many clients decide to do a more customized profile that highlights applicable characteristics of their community such as:

  • Community Background
  • Demographics
  • Labour
  • Education
  • Infrastructure
  • Transportation
  • Housing
  • Taxes
  • Trade and Tariffs
  • Government Assistance
  • Land and Buildings
  • Initiatives
  • Incentives
  • Contact Information

The Community Profile usually contains other features such as maps, statistics, tourism information, etc. In addition, it will include information about the economic strengths and industrial clusters found in the community.
